over at nothing new under the sun, byron smith, whose pertinent and wide-ranging posts on environment and morality i’ve been enjoying for quite a while, ponders the way in which we are heading towards a 4°C increase in global temperature and all that entails.

Kevin Anderson, until recently the director of the U.K.’s leading climate research institution, the Tyndall Energy Program, had this to say about four degrees: “a 4 degrees C future is incompatible with an organized global community, is likely to be beyond ‘adaptation’, is devastating to the majority of ecosystems, and has a high probability of not being stable.”

    I like it lots- but I don’t like the ‘end of suburbia’ documentary mentioned early in the film – that’s totally apocalyptic..

    well, it may be, but for me it moved a certain number of things, although i saw it a little too late 😉
